Review: Personalised Wooden Phone Case

I’m a big fan of a cute phone case, my phone is never naked as I’m too clumsy, so I always like to keep it protected from drops and scrapes. When I went travelling I got a chunky rubber one because I was so paranoid about anything happening to it, but now my day to day is a bit more pedestrian I’ve reverted to fun, colourful styles. So I was thrilled when My Personalised Case got in touch to offer me a free personalised phone case to review.

My Personalised Case let you design your own phone case, there are an array of case styles available for a huge variety of phones, and you can personalise the design with your own photos and text as well as incorporating other graphics and elements that they provide. The easy to use editor tool lets you play with your design, including adding photo filters, until you’ve created something you’re totally happy with it. I really liked how many options were available and how easy the tool was to use. You don’t even have to use your own photo if you don’t want to, they have their own designs available which are all super cute.

I went for the wooden case, I like that it looks a bit different and you can see the grain through the photo. For my photo I knew I wanted something to remind me of my recent travels so I chose a colourful shot of Batu Caves Temple in Malaysia. It makes my colour-addict heart very happy every time I see it.

Despite being shipped to New Zealand my case arrived really quicky. The case has black rubber sides which help protect the phone from bumps and falls. It did take me a little while to get my phone into the case as it was a pretty snug fit. I also found that unfortunately once inside the case it was pretty hard to use the silent/loud switch on the side of my iPhone.

I love that I now have a constant reminder of my travels in my pocket. With such a huge variety of styles and design options I think this is a great way to add some personality to your phone. You could even personalise them for friends or family as gifts.
