Bits & Pieces: 11 ways to add a touch of spring to your home decor
I think it’s official, Spring has sprung! Although there are still a few cold days in my neck of the woods and the ever present threat of the ‘white Easter’ keeps being banded about, I think the fact the daffodils are out in force means I can safely say that Spring is in the air so that means time for some Spring home decor.
And I couldn’t be happier. Spring to me means starting new projects, organising my house, sorting my wardrobe and adding Spring touches to my home decor. I’ve been thinking of getting something like a sunroom shed and can’t help but get excited at the prospect of decorating it. As you saw in my Autumn post I love adding seasonal touches to keep my space feeling fresh. There’s plenty of decor and accessories that you can find online to get your home looking seasonal. I love having a browse online at all the different touches I could add to my home; Lulu and Georgia has particularly beautiful and high-end furniture to get your home looking stylish.
Here are some items I’m currently loving for adding a Spring vibe to your abode. I have a couple of these and as you can tell I’m all about a yellow and blue colour palette to bring a touch of zesty spring freshness into the home.
From left to right:
Zara Home floral print bed linen : Colourful? Check! Floral? Check! Animals? Check! This may be my dream bedding!
H&M Home hanging planter : Bringing plants into the home is one of the easiest ways to transform your space and this hanging planter is a great decorative touch.
Oliver Bonas Jade geo throw with tassels : A friend of mine kindly gifted this to me and it’s so soft and cozy, I love the pastel palette which to me screams Spring.
Zara Home watercolour porcelain bread plate : I’m glad to see the watercolour trend is still going, and this bright happy blue is a perfect pick-me-up for your table.
Urban Outfitters melon bowl : How adorable is this? perfect for snacking in the sun!
Mexican napkins from Etsy : A great way to brighten up any table.
Oliver Bonas Astrid jug : This is one of my favourite jugs that I own, I use it mostly for flowers, fill it with a bunch of daffodils or tulips for a gorgeous spring display.
Urban Outfitters tall dust blue vase : Blue is the perfect colour to compliment yellow tones and the earthy look of this vase is so peaceful.
H&M patterned cushion cover : Can you tell I have a thing for yellow? After the dark winter months its the perfect hue to inject some happiness into the home.
Orla Kiely Sicilian lemon scented candle : I have this candle and it smells divine! There’s nothing like a citrus scent to freshen up the home.
Cassia Beck postcard set spring flowers on Etsy : I love these beautiful photographs, in fact all of Cassia’s photos are stunning, but these feel particularly fresh and Spring-like.
